Kulai is a sub-district in the state of Johor, Malaysia, 30 minutes distance by car to main town of Johor which is Johor Bahru. The name of Kulai is come from the madarine word (龟来）means the turtle coming, because the turtle will coming to the area after flooting, so until now there is a temple to breeding wild turtle.

This store sell several traditional Hakka food such as Choyban(菜板), Yam Abacous(算盘子), Thunder Tea Rice(擂茶) and Brown rice biscuit (米层). All of the food are hand made and remain the traditional receipt.

3. My Liberica Specialty Coffee
Liberica is a tye of coffee bean and this coffee shop plant coffee bean, roasted and brewing itself, they try to promote Liberica bean to Malaysian. Dessert also provided to serve with the coffee, the waffle serve with Macadamia ice-cream is the best attach with the dark coffee. The also offer cheese cake, tiramisu, Swiss roll and bread.

4. Restaurant New Century (新世纪砂煲鸡饭)
This shop is a traditional shop that main selling the pot chicken rice, the shop is located in a hawker center beside the main road. The are using the traditional way to cook the chicken rice and the chicken rice are not preserve so it take around 20-30 minutes for waiting.

5. Gunung Pulai (埔莱山）

Gunung Pulai located from the small road from Kulai to Gelang Patah. Peak of Gunung Pulai is the base of army so during hiking will always meet the army training or their military vehicle. In total 5km distance to peak, there are two way to the peak of the mountain one is using the park oil road(泊油路) and the mountain road. Park oil road is enter the gate and along the way will saw waterfall when at left hand side and mountain road before enter the gate have a road to enter.

*Tips using the mountain road to climb and use the park oil road to come down (mountain road is slippery when come down) and dont splash the water at the water fall, there are few case of children fall and dead and the water cause illness

Let's Art At Sawit is wall painting at Kelapa Sawit which is a town under Kulai, Majority citizen stay at Kelapa Sawit are Hakka people, Hakka is a dialect of Chinese. The campaign is to introduce and promote unique traditional Hakka cultures and start from year 2014
